Eleni P. Kotanidou

Eleni P Kotanidou is an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics-Adolescent Medicine in the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. After her medical degree, she has been trained in Pediatrics, in Adolescent Medicine and in Pediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology. She teaches Adolescent Medicine in pregraduate medical students in the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She is also faculty member in the Program of Postgraduate Studies “Adolescent Medicine and Adolescent Health Care” of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki which offers training in adolescent medicine in health care professionals, psychologists and teachers.
She works with adolescents in the 2nd Department of Pediatrics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki at AHEPA University Hospital, a tertiary Pediatrics Clinic. She has a special clinical interest in the health care of adolescents with obesity and also in the care of adolescents survivors of childhood cancer regarding their endocrine late effects. In research, she focuses on adolescent obesity and prediabetes and on endocrine late effects of childhood cancer survivors. She is a mother of three adolescent girls and she loves forest bathing with her family.
