Maria del Carmen Calle is a pediatrician graduated from the Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Perú, specializing in Adolescent’s Health and Development.  Expert in Public Health, Master’s degree in Government and Health Management and completed a doctorate in Public Health.  Postgraduate studies at the National Center for Higher Studies, Lima; Harvard University, Pan American Health Organization and World Health Organization, IDB, with a focus on Adolescent Health and Development (Pontific Catholic University, Chile).  She was Regional Advisor on Adolescent Health for PAHO in Washington DC, (2015). Director of Strategic Programs in Public Health. Vice Minister of Public Health at MINSA Peru (2018). She is the Executive Secretary of the Andean Health Organization – Hipolito Unanue Agreement, ORAS-CONHU. (2019 up to day). She held different management positions in Pediatric Scientific Organizations at the national (President Peruvian Society of Adolescence and Youth, Coordinator Social Pediatrics Chapter, Peruvian Pediatric Society), latin american (President Iberoamerican and Italian Confederation of Adolescence and Youth CODAJIC,  Social Pediatrics Committee in the Pediatric Latinoamerican Association ALAPE) and global levels (Vice president and Special Adviser International Association for Adolescent Health IAAH). Member of the Standing Committee of the International Pediatric Association (IPA) 2023-2025.  Member of the Scientific Committee 2025 IPA World Congress Ciudad de Mexico . President of RC Monterrico Surco D4455 Rotary International and Member of the Rotary Foundation Technical Advisory Board.  She received major awards for her academic leadership and the development of national and international support for adolescent health, as the highest distinction in Public Health in Peru.  She is the author of interesting publications and an international speaker.
