We are delighted to announce that the 12th World Congress on Adolescent Health will be held in Lima, Peru from 5th – 7th November, 2020. Those with good memories and maths will appreciate that rather than the usual four years, this is only three years since our last World Congress in India; we are moving to a shorter periodicity between meetings. I am thrilled that María del Carmen Calle Davila MD, President, Peruvian Society of Adolescence and Youth (IAAH vice-president, Latin America), and Professor Jonathan Klein PhD (IAAH vice-president, North America) have graciously agreed to chair the scientific committee. Ideas for must-have speakers and sessions? Interested in joining a conference planning committee? Contact Jon at [email protected]. And for the rest of you, please mark your calendars now!
We are equally excited to announce the launch of IAAH’s new website! With a more contemporary interface and content, including our new logo, it can still be found at our ‘old’ address of iaah.org. I wish to gratefully acknowledge the able leadership of Dr Nicola Gray (IAAH vice-president, Europe) and Dr Asha Pemberton (IAAH vice-president, Caribbean), co-chairs of our communications committee, together with Jenna Baumgartner (IAAH executive administrator), who have worked so effectively to complete this project.
We invite you to join or renew your membership with IAAH, and help us shape the field of adolescent health. It is through the energy and expertise of our members that we maximise the value of IAAH as a resource for catalysing connections, building competencies and enhancing opportunities for those who work with and for young people to advance adolescent health, wherever in the world you might be.
