Are you a student/trainee/early career professional (within 10 years in your respective field)? Do you work in adolescent health? Have you been trying to find a place to connect with other young professionals? If so, consider joining the International Association for Adolescent Health’s Young Professionals Network (YPN)!
Focused on creating a diverse network with opportunities for education and training, leadership and mentorship, as well as opportunities to engage with fellow members, the IAAH’s YPN co-chairs Jason Nagata, Sophie Remoué Gonzales, and Natalie Yap, along with the YPN committee chairs encourage you to complete the YPN survey. Taking approximately 10 minutes to complete, this survey asks an array of questions about you as a young professional, but it goes one step further and provides you with an opportunity to share your thoughts on what types of trainings/resources/activities/supports would make this network helpful and successful. Questions like, “What do you think is lacking or is a gap for young professionals in the field of adolescent health?”, or, “What kind of education and training themes you’d like to see explored more?”, are asked.
Composed of four committees; communications, community engagement, education and training, and leadership and mentorship, the YPN provides opportunities for young professionals to get involved in the formation of a network that will not only foster their professional growth, but create a space for collaborative partnerships and friendships. The YPN aims to serve as a platform where adolescent young professionals from around the world can connect and engage; a platform offering career-advancing opportunities, education, training, leadership, and mentoring; a platform where the possibilities are endless.
If this peaks your interest at all, take our survey and introduce yourself!
